I could never be a discovery writer, with only one point in the story to work on.
Creativity just doesn't work that way for me. Yesterday, I wrote one of the best, and most gut-wrenching, scenes of my life.
Today, I planned to write the set-up that comes directly before it. It was fresh in my mind.
And NOPE.
Completely not happening. Can't do it. So I skipped ahead about five chapters and there, somehow, the dialogue is flowing, and it looks like I'll get my 1000 words in today, too.
I don't know how front-to-back, start-to-finish authors can even exist.
What kind of alien beings are they?
